With reference to my despatch No. 357 of

the 4th of July, 1930, regarding the Tobacco

Amendment Ordinance, 1929, I have the honour to forward for your information the accompanying copy of the text of an Order under section 2 of the

Public Revenue Protection Ordinance, 1927,

together with a copy of the Resolution referred to therein and a copy of Regulations made under section 3 (1)(b) of the Tobacco Ordinance, 1916.

2. The Resolution was passed by the Legislative Council on the 22nd of October, 1931, and I append an extract from Hansard, which gives an account of Council's proceedings on this subject.
